With two weeks remaining in the dead period, summer is coming to a close and a plethora of lacrosse recruits are making college decisions at a rapid rate.
Event coverage won’t pick up until much later in the fall (though a few more from July will be posted in the coming weeks) and this time has been used primarily as a time to reflect on who impressed this summer on the recruiting trail, leading up to the Top 100 rankings which will be posted in early September.

For several years, Maverik Showtime has acted as the top individual showcase in the country, taking place at Western Connecticut State and entertaining dozens of top rising sophomores and juniors. We were on hand all three days, as the All-Star Games capped things off. With the Under Armour Underclass tournament just a week away, the New England roster had to be determined leading up to the games, as the tryouts took place this past Tuesday from 9-5 on the campus of Yale University.
Spencer Turkel, a summer intern here on Recruiting Rundown, made the trip and evaluated the talent in the graduating classes of 2017 through 2020. Here’s a look at the eight players that caught his eye the most as well as the final rosters for the Command and Highlight divisions for New England.
Now in its third year of existence, the Adrenaline Platinum Cup went down this past weekend at Long Island’s Sachem North High School and provided college coaches and the club world with early battles between the nation’s top programs in four different graduating classes. This year’s participants included Big 4 HHH, Crabs, Laxachusetts, Leading Edge, Long Island Express, Express North, Madlax, Mesa Fresh, Prime Time, Team 91 and the West Coast Starz.
