Sideline Swap / Recruiting Rundown Top 25 Private School Rankings: Week 8

As I mentioned last week, it’s always pivotal to be playing your best lacrosse in the month of May. If a team hasn’t established their identity by now, they won’t find it at all. Take one game at a time, don’t look past any opponent and put yourself in the best position to get a prime seed for the upcoming playoffs.

Maryland powerhouses Bullis, McDonogh and Boys’ Latin stay in the top three, while Gonzaga (D.C.) holds down the No. 4 spot and will have finished their season by the time the next private school rankings come out.

Highlighted above (complete game available here), the McDonogh-BL game was a double overtime instant classic with the Eagles emerging victorious, 10-9. Despite the loss, the Lakers stay where they are, as their only losses are to the top three teams in the StringKing / RR Top 25. Two teams enter the mix this week: No. 25 Governor’s Academy (Mass.) of the ISL and No. 17 Chaminade (N.Y.), a team starting to regain confidence with a plethora of big wins lately. Severn (Md.) and Collegiate (Va.) both fall out after losses. Read below for the rest of the list and check back on Thursday for the first of five Top 10 Prep School rankings, which will be sponsored by National 175 through the rest of the season. Those rankings are exclusive to teams that take postgrads.
