Boston, MA – Lax Sports Network, a 24-hour digital sports network dedicated to the sport of lacrosse, today announced Ty Xanders as a recurring contributor, according to Chief Operating Officer Rob Wallace. Xanders comes to the network after spending the past six years as a journalist and broadcaster, covering high school lacrosse and recruitment for numerous outlets, including his destination website Recruiting Rundown.
“Lax Sports Network’s plan from the beginning has focused on the mission to do our part to amplify the game,” Wallace said. “Adding Ty and Recruiting Rundown to our roster positions LSN to deliver the most sought after content around recruitment, one of the most talked about aspects in the game today.”
Xanders began his journalism career while he was a high school senior at St. Paul’s (Md.), covering college football recruiting and prep school hockey before joining Inside Lacrosse Magazine as a high school lacrosse contributor focusing on all things recruiting. Xanders has also broadcasted Mid-Atlantic high school games with Booker Corrigan on Kudda.com’s ‘Game of the Week’ feature, also appearing on podcasts, radio and television shows.
Xanders launched Recruiting Rundown in 2014, a website that highlights national showcases and tournaments, along with player rankings, commitments and player videos.
“I’m thrilled to be able to join Lax Sports Network and help achieve a goal together, which is to bring recruiting and high school lacrosse fans th media coverage the sport deserves,” Xanders said. “When I met with Rob earlier this fall, I immediately felt passionate about his vision and knew that this could be huge for the prep scene and lacrosse as a whole. Lacrosse fans are a rabid bunch of consumers, so there’s no doubt that LSN will soon become a daily stop for fans looking for constant high school and recruiting news, analysis, highlights and game coverage.”
